Today we visited The Playtrail as part of our participation in The Forest School's Programme. What a fun morning we had and there were lots of smiling faces and laughter as the children became familiar with the rules of the forest and learned lots of new skills among Nature and it's many creatures who have made it their home! Among these are the hedgehogs and today Ciara our facilitator introduced us to 'The Hedgehog' and talked to us about 'Hibernation' and those other woodland creatures who may indeed be a danger to this little spikey creature!! We ended our session today by making our very own hedgehog to take home which will spark lots of discussion about our adventures on our first visit to the forest! We are looking forward to our next trip very soon!!
